How can I access Dignity House programs?

 

Many thanks to our generous supporters!

 

The Day Hospice Program offers...

  • Nutritious lunch, with therapeutic meals available;

  • Peer support, group discussions, and guest speakers (negotiated with participants);

  • Complementary therapies, including massage, reiki, therapeutic touch, and reflexology;

  • Mindfulness training;

  • Expressive arts exploration (includes journaling, clay work, scrapbooking, painting, music, etc.);

  • One-on-one support with a volunteer;

  • Rest area in which to relax;

  • Various entertainment and activities; and

  • Assessment and feedback for your family physician.

Admission Criteria

 

The Hospice Day program is open to people who are 19 years of age or older, and are palliative. Participants must be independent in functions of daily living and be able to take their own medications.
