Volunteers and Volunteering

Volunteers will be essential to the success of the Dignity House Hospice. They will be involved in every aspect of our organization and as an integral part of our interdisciplinary team.

We will require volunteers in the following areas:

  • Client care

  • Kitchen help

  • Reception

  • Pet care and visiting

  • House maintenance

  • Adjunctive therapy programs

  • Administration

  • Gardening

  • Housekeeping

  • Snow removal

  • Fundraising programs

  • Library and resources

Anyone interested in volunteering to assist with client care will be required to complete a certified Palliative Care Volunteer Training Program.

For this program, or to be considered for a volunteer position, please contact the Lanark County Volunteer Hospice Coordinator.
